CAF postpones 2021 AFCON Qualifiers matches until further notice Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) have postponed the 2021 Africa cup of nations qualifiers until further notice due to coronavirus outbreak ,the Qualifiers matches scheduled from 25 to 31 march 2020 . Reason for the postponement is that Several players who are supposed to play the next AFCON Qualifiers,come from countries which have been severely affected by the virus (Europe & Asia). CAF also insist that a new date for the 2021 AFCON Qualifiers will be communicated in due course.

Coronavirus: premier league postponed until April 4th The Premier league have postponed  all fixtures until April 4th at earliest due to the threat of the Coronavirus. The measures to postpone premier league football was agreed at an "emergency club meeting" on Friday and in light of Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta and Chelsea winger Callum  Hudson-Odoi confirming they had tested positive for the virus .

Breaking :UEFA postpones All round matches of both Champions league and Europa league Due to coronavirus outbreak In the light of developments due to the spread of Coronavirus in Europe and related decisions made by different governments, all UEFA club competitions matches scheduled next week have now been postponed . This includes the remaining  UEFA champions league,Round of 16 second leg matches scheduled on 17and 18 march 2020,all UEFA  Europa league Round of 16 second leg matches scheduled on 19 march 2020. Further decision on when these matches take place will be communicated in due course . As a consequence of the postponements,the UEFA champions league and UEFA Europa league quarter-Finals  draws scheduled for 20 march have also been postponed.

Breaking :French ligue 1 and ligue 2 suspended immediately until further notice The professional football league (LFP) announced this Friday the suspension of Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 until further notice with immediate effect. The LFP made this decision after a board of directors meeting urgently Friday morning because of the  Coronavirus pandemic. At the beginning of the week,it was reported the French ligue 1 and ligue 2 matches will be played behind closed doors until 15 April but the evolution of the health situation and the measures taken by the public authorities therefore led the professional football authorities to finally opt for the suspension of competitions.

Chelsea's Hudson -Odoi Becomes first premier league player with coronavirus Chelsea's players and coaching staff were ordered into isolation as Callum Hudson-Odoi became the first premier league player confirmed to have tested positive for coronavirus late on Thursday. The news casts the viability of this weekend's games further into doubt after Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta tested positive,also throwing their team into lockdown. Chelsea released a statement on Odoi's tested positive for coronavirus: "Chelsea personnel who had recent close contact with the player in the men's team building will now self-isolate in line with government health guidelines. Chelsea said they would discuss their upcoming games,starting with Sunday's trip to Aston villa,with premier league officials on Friday .

2021 AFCON Qualifiers: Sellas Tetteh Resign as Sierra Leone head coach ahead of Nigeria clash Sellas Tetteh has Resign as the head coach of the sierra Leone national team with immediate effect. The Ghanian trainer according to some reports,tendered in his resignation to the sierra Leone football Association president on Thursday and it has been accepted by the Executive committee. Tetteh,managed only one win in four games he was in charge in the 2022 World cup qualifiers and the 2021 Africa cup of nations qualifications, he lost twice and draw twice .
