CAFCCQF: Enyimba held to a 1-1 draw by Horoya AC into CAF Confederation cup quarter finals first leg


Enyimba failed to take an advantage of playing at home first as they have left themselves with a Mountain to climb to progress to the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation cup after they were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Guinea side,Horoya AC at the Enyimba Stadium.

  The people's Elephant took the lead in the 18th minutes through a close range free kick from Midfielder, Austin Oladapo as they lead 1-0 in the first half .

The Nigerian champions were pegged back soon after Substitute,Boniface Haba who came in for Bance,strike late on the game to denied Enyimba the win with an away goal for the Guinean side .

The result leaves Horoya AC finely poised for a place in the semifinals with Enyimba have all to play for ahead of the return leg at the stade du 28 Septembre in Conakry,next weekend.

LMC Fines  Abia Warrior 5 million Naira over disruption in matchday 20 fixture against Enyimba in Umuahia The league Management company (LMC) have fined Abia Warriors 5,000,000 over crowd disruption of the matchday 20 fixture against Enyimba in Unuahia . The fine is expected to be paid by Abia Warriors within 10 working days in a summary jurisdiction exercised by the LMC. Abia Warriors will also play a minimum of their next three consecutive home matches behind closed doors with no fans before a possible review which can only be carried out if the LMC is satisfied that conditions which led to the disruption has been completely eliminated. Out of the 5 million naira fine ,Enyimba will receive 2.5 million naira as compensation for injuries and damages to property .
