NPFL Round-Up :  Rangers moved to 5th place with a  1-0 win over second place Rivers united in Enugu





Rangers international take a step closely to the Continental spots after defeating Rivers united 1-0 in the Nigeria Professional Football League Matchday 24 fixture  at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium,Enugu.

Chinonso Eziekwe 39th minutes strike was the difference between both sides ,with his Second goal in a back to back games for Rangers ,as they moved to 5th position with 34 points after 24 NPFL games .

In other Matchday 24 games played today across the centres 

League leaders ,Plateau united  moved to 46 points after defeating Nasarawa utd 2-1 at the New Jos Stadium ,while Enyimba Thrashes vistors,Sunshine Stars 3-0 at the Enyimba international Stadium, Aba to moved to 9th position with 33 points .

Lobi Stars  continue their poor form on the road ,as they lost 2-0 to Heartland FC at the Okigwe stadium.

Kano pillars bounce back to winning ways after their 2-0 win over Jigawa Golden Stars at the sani Abacha Stadium ,Kano .

FC Ifeanyi Ubah moved a step closely to the top 6 teams  ,after they defeated  Dakkada FC 2-1 in Nnewi .

LMC Fines  Abia Warrior 5 million Naira over disruption in matchday 20 fixture against Enyimba in Umuahia The league Management company (LMC) have fined Abia Warriors 5,000,000 over crowd disruption of the matchday 20 fixture against Enyimba in Unuahia . The fine is expected to be paid by Abia Warriors within 10 working days in a summary jurisdiction exercised by the LMC. Abia Warriors will also play a minimum of their next three consecutive home matches behind closed doors with no fans before a possible review which can only be carried out if the LMC is satisfied that conditions which led to the disruption has been completely eliminated. Out of the 5 million naira fine ,Enyimba will receive 2.5 million naira as compensation for injuries and damages to property .
