UCL Round 16 :Marcos Llorente Extra time double send Atletico Madrid through to the Quarter-finals




Holders Liverpool were knocked out of the UEFA Champions league by a Resilient Atletico Madrid team led by Diego Simone in a dramatic last-16 second leg that went into extra time at Anfield .

Liverpool went in front in the 42nd minutes through midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum to forced the game into an extra 30 minutes.

Substitute, Marcos Llorente Extra time double and another from Alvaro Morata was enough to send Atletico Madrid through to the champions league quarter finals with a 3-2 win after 30 minutes extra time at Anfield.

The defeat ends Jurgen Klopp's record of never losing a two-legged European tie as Liverpool manager .

LMC Fines  Abia Warrior 5 million Naira over disruption in matchday 20 fixture against Enyimba in Umuahia The league Management company (LMC) have fined Abia Warriors 5,000,000 over crowd disruption of the matchday 20 fixture against Enyimba in Unuahia . The fine is expected to be paid by Abia Warriors within 10 working days in a summary jurisdiction exercised by the LMC. Abia Warriors will also play a minimum of their next three consecutive home matches behind closed doors with no fans before a possible review which can only be carried out if the LMC is satisfied that conditions which led to the disruption has been completely eliminated. Out of the 5 million naira fine ,Enyimba will receive 2.5 million naira as compensation for injuries and damages to property .
