UEFA Nations League Draws: England to Battle Belgium Baring Coronavirus spread




England has been drawn to face Belgium, Denmark and Iceland in the UEFA Nations League after the draws were conducted on Tuesday .

The three lions faced Roberto martinez's Belgium side twice at the 2018 world cup,once at the end of the group phase and again in the third play-off,losing in both occasions.

The are due to face the Danes in a friendly later this month-Coronavirus permitting-while they famously lost to Iceland in Nice at Euro 2016.

Wales and the Republic of Ireland will meet again after they were drawn in the same group.

The other teams in Group B4 are firat-time Euro finalists Finland and Bulgaria.


There are 55 member states in UEFA ,following Kosovo's membership being accepted in 2016.

The UEFA Nations league splits these nations into four leagues :A,B,C and D.for the original format,these divisions contained countries based on their coefficient score -so the beat teams in Group A,right down to the lowest -ranked in Group D.

The winner of each of league A's groups goes on to play knockout fixtures to determine the UEFA Nations league champion.

Group A1: Netherlands, Italy,Bosnia and Herzegovina, Poland

Group A3:Portugal, France ,Sweden, Croatia

Group A4: Switzerland, Spain ,Ukraine, Germany

League B

Group B1: Austria, Norway, Northern Ireland, Romania

Group B2:Czech Republic, Scotland, Slovakia,Israel

Group B3:Russia ,Serbia, Turkey, Hungary

Group B4:Wales ,Finland ,Republic of Ireland, Bulgaria

League C

Group C1: Montenegro, Cyprus, Luxembourg, Azerbaijan

Group C2: Georgia, North Macedonia, Estonia ,Armenia

Group C3: Greece,Kosovo,Slovenia, Moldova

Group C4: Albania, Belarus ,Lithuania, Kazakhstan

League D

Group D1: Faroe Islands ,Latvia ,Andorra, Malta

Group D2: Gibraltar, Liechtenstein, San Marino

The group matches will be played between September and November this year .
