NBA: Brooklyn Nets Guard Spencer Dinwiddle Acquires Nigerian passport




Nigerian-American Brooklyn Nets Guard Spencer Dinwiddle has confirmed his intentions to acquire a Nigerian passport so as to be eligible to play for the D'Tigers at the 2021 summer Olympics Games .

Dinwiddle who did not receive a Team USA Olympic invite -in spite of finishing 10th in All-Star voting for Eastern conference guards and recording a career-high 41 points in December will now join Nigeria roster under mike Brown that also includes Al-Farouq Aminu(Orlando Magic),Josh Okogie (  minnesota Timberwolves)and Chimezie Metu(San Antonio Spurs ) .

By obtaining a Nigerian passport,Dinwiddle will become eligible to play for the D'Tigers in the 2021 summer Olympics.

LMC Fines  Abia Warrior 5 million Naira over disruption in matchday 20 fixture against Enyimba in Umuahia The league Management company (LMC) have fined Abia Warriors 5,000,000 over crowd disruption of the matchday 20 fixture against Enyimba in Unuahia . The fine is expected to be paid by Abia Warriors within 10 working days in a summary jurisdiction exercised by the LMC. Abia Warriors will also play a minimum of their next three consecutive home matches behind closed doors with no fans before a possible review which can only be carried out if the LMC is satisfied that conditions which led to the disruption has been completely eliminated. Out of the 5 million naira fine ,Enyimba will receive 2.5 million naira as compensation for injuries and damages to property .
