Formula 1: Carlo Sainz to join Ferrari for 2021 F1 season to replace Sebastian Vettel ,as Riccardo replaces  the Spaniard at McLaren in 2021



Carlo Sainz will join Ferrari for the 2021 Formula 1 season to replace Sebastian Vettel after signing a two-year deal with Ferrari.




On a huge day in F1's transfer market,Deniel Riccardo was earlier confirmed as the diver who will in turn replace Sainz at McLaren next year.

Sainz the 25-year -old Spaniard, will join Charles Leclerc in a rare youthful Ferrari line-up after what will be two year at McLaren and an impressive 2019 campaign,when the team's Fortunes improved and his stock rocketed .




"I am very  happy that I will be driving for scuderia Ferrari in 2021 and I'm excited about my future with the team ." said  Sainz,who finished sixth in last year's Formula 1 championship .




Ferrari boss mattia Binotto said :" we have embarked on a new cycle with the aim of getting back to the top in Formula 1 .it will be a long journey,not without its difficulties especially given the  current financial and regulatory situation,which is undergoing a sudden change and will require this challenge to be tackled in a different way to the recent past .

"We believe that a driver pairing with the talent and personality of Charles and carlos,the youngest in the past 50 years of the Scuderia,will be the best possible combination to help us reach the goals we have set ourselves."

LMC Fines  Abia Warrior 5 million Naira over disruption in matchday 20 fixture against Enyimba in Umuahia The league Management company (LMC) have fined Abia Warriors 5,000,000 over crowd disruption of the matchday 20 fixture against Enyimba in Unuahia . The fine is expected to be paid by Abia Warriors within 10 working days in a summary jurisdiction exercised by the LMC. Abia Warriors will also play a minimum of their next three consecutive home matches behind closed doors with no fans before a possible review which can only be carried out if the LMC is satisfied that conditions which led to the disruption has been completely eliminated.
