UEFA postpones man city-Real Madrid ,Juve - Lyon UEFA on Thursday announced postponement of the second leg Round of 16 champions league ties between Manchester city and Real Madrid billed for Etihad stadium in Manchester. Also postponed the Juventus versus Lyon match slated for Turin,Italy . The football body said the postponement was due to outbreak of Coronavirus in Europe with Juventus defender Daniele Rugani and a Real Madrid basketball player confirmed positive to the virus . Already, Serie A matches have been suspended while Spanish LA liga announced a two-weeks break to stem the tide of the ravaging virus .

MLS suspends season for 30 Days Due to coronavirus outbreak Major League soccer has been suspended for 30 Days with immediate effect,making it the latest professional sports league to take drastic measures in the face of the escalating global spread coronavirus. Sampdoria's Manolo Gabbiadini contacts coronavirus Sampdoria striker  Manolo Gabbiadini has tested positive for coronavirus,becoming the second serie A player to fall victim to the pandemic. It was reported on Wednesday that, Juventus defender Daniele Rugani to have contacted the virus . Sampdoria released a statement to confirm the report saying : "we are here to announce that one of our player,Manolo Gabbiadini has tested positive for coronavirus COVID 19 .He has a slight fever,but is doing well. We are activating all the procedures of isolation laid out in the rules ,the club said in a statement. Italy has been grappling with a monumental coronavirus crisis which is the worst in the world after China where the virus originated. Over 10,000 cases and 900 deaths have been recorded and the country has been locked down as authorities battle to stem the tide of the epidemic.

NBA suspends season until further notice after player tests positive for  coronavirus The National Basketball Association (NBA) has suspended its season "until further notice" after a Utah jazz player tested positive on Wednesday for coronavirus . The player who was Rudy Gobert of Utah jazz,source told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, that led to Utah Jazz's game at Oklahoma city being postponed just before tipoff . The NBA is expected to address next step with teams when it conducts a call with the board of governors  on Thursday .
